Benefits and Uses: This home gym is made of a heavy-duty reinforced steel tubing that will last for years. It also holds weights securely in place while you workout. You don’t have to worry about the weights falling off the gym to damage your home or injure you. It also comes with 150lb. weight selectable positions and all you have to do is choose the weight level you feel comfortable with. It will not let any unauthorized users touch the home gym. This versatile machine allows you to do different weight exercises to develop different muscle groups in the body. All you have to do is take a pin out and fasten it again when you have chosen the right weights for your next exercise set.
The system is designed ergonomically so you can be assured you will always be weightlifting in the safest positions possible. It has a preacher curl bicep pad that is removable. This allows you to do separate bicep exercises. It allows you to engage in a total body workout and it includes arm and leg weight stations.
Feedback: The customer is 6’3″ tall and finds that he cannot engage full motion workouts because the home gym is too small. He has to take off the preacher bicep pad (which you are supposed to do anyway) so he can do separate bicep exercises. The client says he would prefer a method where he could do the separate bicep exercises without having to take off the pad. He has a hard time doing fly to the gym because he is too tall. But he found a way around this by buying a different type of bolt to screw into the home gym. Now, he can do fly with no problems. He says the gym is solid and is a good buy for the money. It took him and a friend a few hours to put the unit together and the process was very smooth. The only thing damaged was the decal on the home gym. He doesn’t care about that.
This gym set is not made for tall people which may be a hindrance to the company selling a lot more gym sets because of the size limitation. The company should make the gym set for people of all heights. This way taller clients would not have to make all these creative adjustments to the home gym just so they can work out on the home gym. This is a flaw that these companies need to address.
Another customer who is over 6″ tall had the same complaint as the customer above. He cannot engage in doing weightlifting in proper form because this gym set is too small for him. He went as far as to say anyone over 6′ tall should not purchase the home gym because it is too small to allow these types of people to weight lift properly.
The customer is noted that there was a false advertisement by the company on Amazon about this home gym. He was led to believe the weights would be iron-plates instead they are cement filled plastic weights which is quite a difference. Another concern is that when doing extensions on certain exercises the guide bar in back will sometimes stick. This could be bad news for kids, young adults and adults. The customer says this is a basic design flaw that needs to be fixed. Another concern is that when the unit arrived and it was put together there was a stripped bolt between two parts.
The customer said the misleading advertisement is wrong and he is right it is wrong to mislead people like that. This false advertising is not going to help the company’s reputation one bit. The client noted that if he knew this home gym was not designed to last for years he would not have purchased it. This review could turn a lot of potential customers away. You would think for almost $5.00 dollars the unit would be designed more efficiently and come with iron plate weights instead of plastic weights filled with sand. This is not right.
The customer has been a weightlifter for decades. He considers himself to be a heavier weightlifter than the common person. The set up was easy and the gym set is solid. It provides the client with all the functions he needs. He says if you want to do some heavy lifting on this gym set than get a set of weights at 200 lbs. You will build some solid muscle mass through the chest if you work with these weights for a long time. You will definitely be bigger than when you started on this home gym. Get yourself some weights and a treadmill and you will be set with this home gym. He thinks the home gym is priced very well. It costs almost $500.00 dollars and with the limitations discussed in previous reviews, it is not worth that much money.
Benefits and Uses: If this means anything to anyone there was a picture of Chuck Norris next to the advertisement of this home gym. This could mean that he recommends this product and that he may personally workout on it. The home gym is the top the line make for home gyms. It will give the family the total workout experience and it can be used by people aged 8 years-old to 80 years-old. This age range could be a real stretch too. It includes a few exercise DVDs, a training chart, and a nutritional/food guide.
It should have these extras since it costs $850.00 dollars. It also better be top of the line for that price. It has a 400lb. weight capacity and it will work all the major muscle groups and the cardiovascular system all in one machine. It comes completely assembled and there is a 6-month warranty on all the parts. The frame comes with a lifetime warranty. This is an excellent warranty on the frame.
Feedback: This customer has been a soldier for over 20 years and has developed knee and back injuries. Thes injuries make it difficult for him to do full motion exercises. Bt this home gym allows him to engage in full body workouts with no pain. He doesn’t regret purchasing the home gym at all. This customer says the home gym came with a broken part and the unit was brand new. It should be replaced as the unit costs $850.00 dollars. He wishes they would just send him a replacement part. First off, did he ask them to send him a replacement part? Secondly, the company says they warrant all parts for 6-months. So he should get a replacement part with no issues with the company. Or the company was lying about the 6-month warranty on all parts.
This is a female customer who is 4’11” tall. She cannot complete a lot of the sit-down exercises outlined in the training DVDs because her legs cannot physically reach the bar. She also can’t make the glide board move which frustrates her very much. She spent S850.00 dollars for this home gym and she cannot complete all the exercise available to perform at the home gym. She has every right to be frustrated because the machine should be designed to accommodate people of all heights. She had a good point when she said the company needs to make an adjustment to this machine. They need to modify it so people of all heights can safely and enjoyable work out on the machine.
Benefits and Uses: This home gym is good for defining abdominal muscles and other parts of the upper body. There are limited exercises that can be done on this machine. It is free-standing and has a padded backboard. It does not cost a lot of money either. The frame is made out of steel which should keep this machine functioning for years. You can engage in back, abs, and decline dumbbell press exercises. It is supposed to be ideal for home and commercial use. Home use maybe but commercial use that is doubtful. The measurements are 51″ by 13.75″ by 22.5″ to 27″ so maybe there is a way to adjust it to the 27″ measurement.
Feedback: The unit had 8 reviews written about it and it did not do well in the average rating. The reviews averaged out to a 3-star rating which is average. The first review was unfavorable. The customer said the unit was bulky and very uncomfortable to use. If you are too tall (like this consumer) than when you try to exercise on the home gym unit you hit your head on the floor. This could cause someone a serious head injury if they hit their head too hard on a hard surface. The unit was not designed for tall people either. This unit does not hold a lot of promise.
Another customer says he received all the parts of the product. He said it was exactly what he wanted and it hardly takes up any room in his home. He had a bo-flex but it took up too much so he opted to get rid of. It is meeting all of his needs and the price is very reasonable. What is confusing is why the customer got rid of the bowflex it is such a good home gym whether it is large or not. It was ordered and he received it the next day very quick shipping for him. He was not expecting this. He said it was very easy to put together he had it put together in a few minutes. Another customer said the product went together very easily as well. He says the home gym is working well for him because he has lost 2 inches already using the product.
Another person said they are 5’4″ tall and the product is very sturdy and they like the fact that the incline can be adjusted. Another customer says the product is too small but it will do. It seems like this home gym is not made for taller people. But shorter people seem to thrive working out on it. The company needs to think about adapting the product to fit people of all heights. This seems to be a big weakness of the product that it is too small for taller people to comfortably work out on.
Benefits and Uses: The product is constructed with 14 gauge steel tubing frame and is reinforced with vinyl coating. To select a different weight level all that needs to be done is pull out the pin and insert it into the desired weight and you can start lifting. You are able to do either vertical butterflies or the chest press. Just set the machine to either setting and start lifting. Each press for the vertical butterfly strengthens individual muscles. It has two lateral bars that are separate that gives you two options to build your muscles. The machine is on the expensive side. But it does offer a lot of weight lifting options.
It has thick foam rubber padding to allow for extensive leg workouts using the weights. It has a bicep pad that can be fully adjusted to your needs. Either pump iron or use it with the lower pulley in a seated weightlifting position.
Feedback: Some said the gym unit was easy to put together taking less than 4 hours for one person who says she is a 5′ 4″ inch woman to put it together by herself. She is a woman with an Allen wrench set that follows instructions. Others said it took them about 6 hours to assemble it and the instructions were poorly written. Another consumer said the instructions to assemble were poorly written as well. This same customer has been using the unit for 2 months and feels healthier.
This client said the gym came by UPS in three heavy boxes. It sounds like UPS was rough with the boxes before the customer received the shipment. They said the assembly was a challenge but the got it done. The gym is working as he thought it would. He had some rough spots but everything seems to be alright now.
Benefits and Uses: It is said the elliptical bike can give you twice the workout in one machine. How this is done or possible is not known. It has a tension knob you can set to determine the intensity of your workout. It is an indoor bike machine basically. It has an LCD display that allows you to monitor your numbers as you workout. The operation of the bike is smooth and quiet.
Feedback: The customer said the pedals rubbed on the flywheel. The customer had to redrill the holes in the pedal to move them. It was a hassle but it was easier than shipping it back. Poor workmanship the customer should not have to re-drill holes in the pedals to move them so they won’t rub against the flywheel.
Here we have a little bit of everything under the sun as far as home gyms go. We have a model that is very inexpensive to a model that is very expensive. The cheaper model was not very sturdy and was built for smaller individuals not tall individuals. One of the other home gums had the same issue in that it was not built for people over 6″ tall to workout on. Some people had issues with the assembly of the units and others found the process to be simple and accommodating. Pich the home gym that will suit you best.
You need to be careful when you receive the packages through whatever shipping company it comes to your home by. There seemed to be a lot of damaged packaging arriving at customers homes. But more of a concern is the actual equipment was damaged and there were bolts missing and parts of the actual home gym were banged up good. Look at your product when you get it.
