Benefits and Uses: Maybelline is very reputable beauty provider and their products have been recognized high-quality for years. The concealer will minimize the appearance of puffiness under the eyes so you won’t have that “crying” look. Your eye areas will look shiny and refreshed like you just woke up from a very restful sleep. After all, that is what concealer is supposed to do. The concealer contains anti-aging ingredients goji berry and haloxyl which can take years off your appearance. A couple of swipes and you are good to go. These ingredients will also cover up dark circles quite well.
Feedback: This is a review written by a self-proclaimed makeup snob. She has very high standards but this product met those standards. She likes the concealer because it was long-lasting it was still set strong on her skin at night when she went to wash it off. She was delighted with this aspect of the concealer. The sponge applicator (which she usually doesn’t use) she now uses for 80% of her makeup application and it is very hygienic nature.
It goes on thinly and precisely and it doesn’t fall through the cracks of the skin. She ignored Maybelline for the longest time but now she is sold on the quality of this concealer. It doubles as a highlighter and she couldn’t help but extend it beyond her under eye area to her cheekbone, nose bridge and beyond.
She said it worked well on her minimally wrinkled eye area and worked just as well on her 60-year-old mothers advance wrinkles under the eye area. She was surprised it worked well on their two different skin types. She said it looked great on her mother’s under eye areas and they really glowed after the application. It did not exaggerate her mother’s age marks but hid them well. She says it glides on lightly and it is very reasonably priced. She wore on a full-face of makeup on date night. She is happy to report it lasted all night until she washed it off that evening. It brushes on the skin lightly and is cheap enough you can test many shades. This very hard to please customer was very appreciative of the concealer and may buy it again.
This consumer said the product worked alright. It wasn’t thick enough to cover her blemishes. She only applied it to her eyes and she said if you tried to cover something a lot darker than your natural skin color this product did not make the grade. She said she really hated the packaging but she knew she would before she bought it. She could have overlooked the packaging if the concealer was as terrific as people said it was. To her, the product wasn’t that good. The applicator annoyed her because she thinks the little ball applicator must be really grungy after you have used it a few times. Also, she says you have to twist the ball really hard before you use it for the first time. If it was not for the packaging she would like the product more. She says to Maybelline to not try so hard.
This client has been using this product for years and likes it. She used it under her eyes and it covered those areas well. She found that if she uses a wet brush to blend after using the applicator the product spreads much easier. She had surgery to fix a scar from a dog nite. She used the product to cover up the incision until healed after the surgery. It covered the scar well and she has images to show well it covered the incision until it healed. This customer uses the concealer whether she wore makeup or not.
Benefits and Uses: This product is processed in typical L’Oreal fashion adhering to the finest quality standards. The product has a very blendable foundation. It can match the skin tone and undertone exactly. It eliminates skin imperfections and nourishes the skin it does not leave it feeling dry and chapped. It comes in astounding 33 shades so you have a wide selection to choose from.
Feedback: This customer says that the product is outstanding for a few reasons. It has 33 shades representing warm, cool and neutral colors, You will be able to find the right shade for your skin. It can be found just about anywhere and you can purchase it at Walmart. It is extremely affordable and it goes on lightly. This is good for people who just want to put a light coat and do not want to put extensive effort into putting a lot of makeup on their faces.
In choosing the right shade she advises that you first determine your undertone. Warm colors look good in gold jewelry while cool colors will look good in silver jewelry. Warm colors look good in orangy type colors while the cool colors look better in blues. Neutral can wear anything and it will look good on them. The bottom line is that you should determine your skin tone because this will guide what color of foundation and makeup you should wear.
Another customer was not so happy with the product. She said every time she put it on it became watery and ran off her skin. She may have super oily skin that could be causing the runoff. She hates the container it came in because she shook and she shook and she couldn’t get the product out. She put it in an old cover girl bottle and shook and shook that and finally got some out. She was so disgusted with the product she threw it out. She will obviously not be buying this concealer again.
This is a random review but the writer said she only wears makeup when she performs. She rarely performs anymore. and she has sensitive skin. This concealer irritated her skin but it was the only one she could wear.
This black woman said she experienced totally different results from buying this product from Amazon then when she bought it at the store. She had two images to view. The one image she looked lighter than in the second image where she looked darker. Why the change is unexplainable.
Another client has very pale skin and despite the hassle, she had to determine the right shade for her skin tone she still likes the product. She had to zoom in and out on different shades to determine which shade was right for her and she think they need to come with an easier method for selecting a shade. She says the concealer goes well and covers her acne. She says she is 20 and still has acne breakouts. It seemed like this concealer covered the acne well. She really likes this product.
Benefits and Uses: The product conceals imperfections on the skin and it is waterproof. Another bonus is that it comes in many corrective shades. It is a convenient stick that you can carry in your purse. If you are on the go just take the stick out of your purse and apply the concealer where you need it.
Feedback: This consumer likes this concealer and it works well for her. She said usually green concealer bought from the store will not work for her. She bought this concealer online and this greenish-colored concealer works for her. She says this is now her go-to concealer. Another veteran user has been using the product for years and she knows how to gently raise the stick and apply it to her skin. This stick broke off and she was not able to use the product. She believes either it was a defective tube or the standard of the product has gone downhill. Either way, she wasn’t happy with the product.
The client develops a lot of redness around her nose and on her pimples. She figured buying green concealer would cancel out the redness around the nose and on her pimples. She applied the green concealer and it turned white so it did not cancel out the redness. She has to come back and use her other concealer to fix the problem. She didn’t like using green concealer because it just did not work for her. She would rather use just one concealer that would cover the red spots on her face completely. So it sounds like she was indifferent toward this green concealer.
The client has used every concealer to hide her black bags under her eyes. They have not worked because they enhance the dark circles and make the bags under the eyes more noticeable. The good news is that it does neutralize black and blue veins under the eyes. The bad news this product becomes chalky under mineral-based powder makeup making it look cakey under the eyes. Even if the concealer is put on lightly it will still have the same chalky appearance.
She was expecting a yellower shade than what she received. It is not the same yellow shade as what was shown in the picture. It is the same as the ivory shade from Maybelline but it may have a yellower base than the Maybelline shade. It does conceal the dark spots under the eyes only if they are not really dark. It sounds like this was a mixed review.
The consumer found that the product went on smooth and creamy but as the day wore on it became cakey and looked like it was drying up. She was not happy with this product and she will not purchase it again. It was a waste of money in her opinion.
This was a dated review but in it, the customer found the concealer went on wet and sticky. It stayed wet and sticky and she did not like that. She likes concealers that don’t stay on wet and sticky. This concealer made her breakout in pimples. She wanted to be very amazed by the product but she was not. She pointed out that some might like the sticky and wet texture and that the girls all like different things.
Benefits and Uses: It corrects and makes the skin shine while hiding unwanted skin imperfections. It will give you brighter, smoother, and flawless skin so the manufacturer claims. It conceals and keeps the skin hydrated. It also balances out your natural skin tone.
Feedback: The customer said they hated the way it looked under their eyes. It either was either too pale or it did not cover under her eyes at all. It absolutely did not work for her and she will not buy the product again.
The customer was saying the concealer ways to liquid and she had to apply it with their fingers. Her skin was oily and this concealer made it look more oiler and did not do a good job concealing imperfections on her skin. The company needs to come back with a real match mineral powder concealer that will really hide sunspots and other unwanted blemishes on the skin.
This customer says the product works well for her. She has dry skin and it blends well with her makeup. It keeps the dry skin lubricated which made her happy. She will keep purchasing the concealer in the foreseeable future. The client says this is her must wear makeup because it goes on easy, blends well, and conceals effectively. It lasts all day looks excellent alone or with foundation or powder.
She says the product covers the dark spots under her eyes and the terrible tan lines from her sunglasses. She doesn’t like the applicator starting she can apply the concealer easier with her fingers. This seems to be the only complaint she has about the concealer. The consumer loves the product because it does a fine job of covering her dark spots under the eyes. She has never looked so awake and it stays on all day. But it stays on all day if you use a primer with it. Without the primer, it would not stay on all day. Is this a good thing?
Benefits and Uses: It blends well and covers well on the face and the body. This concealer has an expansive use because it will cover skin imperfections on the body as well. It is free of oils and it will give you confidence because it is a long-lasting concealer.
Feedback: The client said in the winter time this concealer will not work for her. She is fair-skinned and needs a pink-based concealer to hide the skin blemishes effectively. This is yellow-based and probably would work for her during the summer. Also, it is too liquid for her because she is a combination skin type. If it runs on her skin in the winter it may not work in the summer either. It may never work for her.
This customer was advised to use a concealer because of her rosacea. This concealer is working well for her as it is covering large areas of skin that will hide the rosacea markings on the skin. She likes the tube application because it allows her to squeeze out large amounts to cover wide areas of skin. She cannot use a wand because it doesn’t allow for expansive skin coverage. She is happy with the product.
There have been some excellent drugstore concealers covered in this article. Each one will cover a specific set of concealment issues. Some work for some people and some don’t work for other people. You need to choose the optimum concealer for your skin type.
